• That being said, while crazy travel stories may be fun to tell afterwards, they are often pretty miserable to experience at the time. So many like to think they are beyond the nonsense of taking the wrong train or leaving their passport somewhere they shouldn't, and then they get severely humbled with a particularly stressful travel day.

  The good news is that tourists and travelers who make these mistakes are not alone in their stupidity. Thousands of other people have probably got themselves into similar predicaments, and the good thing is that despite that, they have lived to tell the tale.
